Hi, Emily here sharing a card featuring the pretty Demure stamp
from Penny Black and a die from the Stitched Borders set by Lawn Fawn.
I’ve coloured my image using Tim Holtz Distress Ink and layered up
the mats for some interest. The stitched
dies are fab, they let you lay down a line of stitching anywhere you want so I could
make the frame the perfect size for my stamp.
The die cutting was actually the longest part of making this card, the
image is so gorgeous but there’s not much to colour so once I had it stamped
and embossed it took no time to watercolour the touch of Distress Ink. Well, OK, maybe cutting and adhering all
those mats took the longest but I do love the effect!
This really is a high impact card made from very supplies. That’s what I love about these Penny Black
stamps, you get a gorgeous card without needing a huge craft room full of
supplies or loads of time. But the impact
of a handmade thank you to someone’s day can be just so huge because sharing
handmade kindness really matters. So much
I added the fab stamp with that sentiment to the back of my envelope, it’s from
The Stamping Village and called Mail Delivery – love this set!
