that gratitude is...

Hi, Emily here sharing a card featuring the pretty Demure stamp from Penny Black and a die from the Stitched Borders set by Lawn Fawn.

I’ve coloured my image using Tim Holtz Distress Ink and layered up the mats for some interest.  The stitched dies are fab, they let you lay down a line of stitching anywhere you want so I could make the frame the perfect size for my stamp.  The die cutting was actually the longest part of making this card, the image is so gorgeous but there’s not much to colour so once I had it stamped and embossed it took no time to watercolour the touch of Distress Ink.  Well, OK, maybe cutting and adhering all those mats took the longest but I do love the effect!

This really is a high impact card made from very supplies.  That’s what I love about these Penny Black stamps, you get a gorgeous card without needing a huge craft room full of supplies or loads of time.  But the impact of a handmade thank you to someone’s day can be just so huge because sharing handmade kindness really matters.  So much I added the fab stamp with that sentiment to the back of my envelope, it’s from The Stamping Village and called Mail Delivery – love this set!

Ingredients
Stampendous! Embossing Powder – Detail Gold
Stampin' Up! – Climbing Roses (sentiment stamp)

Don’t forget to play along in our current challenge, the theme is always anything goes and you could win five digi stamps of your choice from Bizzy Bec's store.  And for more inspiration follow us over at Instagram at BizzyBec3

Butterfly Kisses - Fluttering by to say hi...

Hi everyone.

Hope you all had a wonderful Mother's day. Today I'm sharing a fun pop-up box card using the adorable Butterfly Kisses stamp set from Lawn Fawn. Just love the cute Spring critters and having them in a pop up box just brings them to life.

I first stamped the images in Hero Arts Intense black ink (copic friendly) and coloured them in with copic markers for quick and simple colouring. There are coordinating dies that goes with the set but have cut them out using an electronic cutter - may need to get the dies later on hehe.

The pop-up box card is created using the Scalloped Box card pop-up die from Lawn Fawn. It such a great and versatile die and have used it often to create an instant box card with many fun scenes.

Thin acetate sheets have been used to prop up the butterflies to give the effect of them fluttering in the air.

For the papers, I have used Lawn Fawn 6x6 inch petite papers: Spiffy Speckles and the Really Rainbow colour coordinating patterns for the front and back, this helps to make it a lot sturdier. The grass has also been created using the same Really Rainbow petite patterned paper. The particular die to create this is from Lawn Fawn - Shadow Box card and the inserts from that die set works with the Scalloped box card pop-up die.

The sentiment has been white heat embossed on black cardstock. The little wavy banner has been die cut out using the mini pop-up box die from Lawn Fawn. I have die cut another piece from fun foam to have the banner raised up.

Hope this has inspired you to create a fun scene using your favourite critters. Lawn Fawn sets are just amazing and are so much fun, love how they all coordinate with many sets. 'Til next time, have a happy crafting day. :)
