Freestyle Collage

Hi everyone, I do not know about you but I seem to collect all sorts of bits and pieces 'just in case' I need it when I go to make my next card project.  I have accumulated so many treasures that I am getting over run by them.  So I was very excited when I actually found a definition for my style of card that I want to share with you today.  It is 'Freestyle Collage' which means unrelated elements in a collection.  So get all you bits and bobs out, your dies, stamps and inks and go for it.

For my card I have used Memory Box dies 'Hollyhock Stem' and 'Woven Circle' with the Darkroom Door Stamp Set 'Simple Sayings'.   The sentiment I cut out using the Spellbinders Shapeabilities 'Fancy Framed Tags Two'.

Hi there,

I am sharing with you a card I have made for an upcoming birthday. I have embossed the background to add texture and layered up the colours cut out using the Memory Box Stitched Square Layers. 

i have stamped the Taylored Expression owls on watercolour paper and coloured them with Tombow watercolour pens.

Valentine's Day card

Hi All,

here is the lastest in my creations...

My Valentines day card for my DH! I snuck it into his luggage 

before he left to fly back to work.. and then i couldnt wait for

his to open his envelope lol :)

 

I used the MFT lightbulb die and cut it twice using gold glitter card

and some black card.. then used Lawn Fawns Milo Alphabet

and stamped the velum with versamark and gold embossed.

Pretty nice eh??

I was really happy with the way it all turned out!

Today I am sharing a card I made recently for a friend's 50th birthday. I have used the Lawn Fawn "Large Stitched Journaling Card " and the smaller "Stitched Journaling Card" Dies. Birthday Wishes.....

Hi everyone, can you believe January has been and gone already.  I have not had much time for card making lately, but would like to share with you a card I made using some of the great products available from Bizzy Becs online store.

On my card I have used Small Stitched Circle Stackables and Large Stitched Circle Stackables from Lawn Fawn, Leaf Filled Flourish from MFT, sentiment is from Bizzy Becs Digi Ticket Stubs - "A Little bit of Everything 3" and the image is a stamp from CC Designs.  Bec has a great range of stamps, dies and all things that you will need to make some great projects.  Come and browse around Bizzy Becs online store here.

I coloured the images with Copic Markers and added a few small flowers and some sequins.  All edges were inked with Vintage Photo Distress Ink to give a bit of a vintage feel.

Hi there!

January is almost over and if you asked me I think Ive missed most of it! Today I would like to show you a card I've made. I must say I smile every time I see this stamp set, Lawn Fawn Year Four stamp and die sets.

I have created the background by sponging acrylic paint through a stencil, modern pop dots. I have then replaced the stencil and drawn around the circles with a fine marker pen. It's a really simple design with really nice bright colours.

I have then added layers of colour and added my stamped images.

Dies used: lawn Fawn year four and stitched scallop borders. MFT stitched rectangle stack.

Peppa Pig Birthday

Hello Everyone,

This month I was lucky enough to celebrate a birthday with one special young lady who turned 2. 

I knew she liked Peppa Pig, so I made this card which went along with a lovely noisy book :) I saw Peppa Pig made like this a while ago and saved it to my phone, but I have no idea where it came from...sorry. I have CASED it for today's card. I have used Spellbinders circle dies to create Peppa Pig,Lawn Fawn Stitched Hillside Borders and Spring Showers and My Favorite Things die called Heart Balloons. The sentiment is by Impression Obsession.

There is loads of inspiration on the Blog and plenty of time ot enter this month challenge of "ANYTHING GOES".

Happy Birthday

Hi everyone, today I would like to share with you a card I have made for an upcoming birthday.

I have used a Darkroom Door stamp Fullbloom V1 and stamped out the rose using Distress Inks Pads in worn lipstick, picked raspberry, peeled paint and crushed olive.  The sentiment is part of the set also.

A different style ~ Project Life

Hi All,

Just slowly getting back in the saddle for posting...

I just thought I would share with you a couple of  'week' cards

I've created for my Project Life pages.

For the 'week 4' card:-

It was die cut using Lawn Fawn - Lawn cuts - Stitched Journalling die set

the Laugh and Play arrows are Memory Box's Happy Arrows stencil using 

 distress ink Festive Berries, 

the Week No was stenciled using MFT Die Accent Calendar, 

with Distress Ink Mowed Lawn. 

The number and the heart are also out of this die set, coloured with Salty Ocean and Picked Raspberry and .

then using Ranger Glossy Accents on top to make them stand out a little.

For the 'week 5' card:-

 I used Memory Box's raindrops stencil with Distress Ink - Tumbled Glass. 

The banner and the 2015 text is from the Lawn Fawn - Stitched Journalling die set,

 the text is using Milo's ABC's stamp set from Lawn Fawn,

 the clouds are from Lawn Fawn 'Hello Sunshine' die set 

and then coloured with my B0000 copic markers.

Wedding Congratulations!

Hi there Suzanne here! I would like to share with you a card I made for my daughter and her husband who were married last week. It was a wonderful day, full of sunshine and happiness. My husband and I were very proud parents and of course our daughter looked stunning - as all brides do!

I used a Cheery Lyn Designs Die -"Wedding Vows" which I cut and only used the bride, groom and arch.The flower heart is an Impression Obsession Die and the hanging hearts are Memory Box "Precious Hearts". The Congratulations is from the Frantic Stamper "Accolades" Set and Love is a Die-Versions "Sweet Wordlets". Hi everyone, I have been playing with some goodies that I got from Santa and would like to share with you the card that I made.


On my card I have used Stitched Rounded Rectangles from MFT and the Lawn Fawn stamp set 'Blissful Botanicals" with the coordinating dies.  These are available from Bizzy Becs online store here.   I coloured the images with Copic Markers and added a little butterfly from a pack of Petaloo mini butterflies.  I have not done a lot of colouring lately with my Copic Markers, so it was good to get back into a project that was quite simple to colour and I love the finished effect.

a vintage christmas card

Hi Everyone!

I hope you had a wonderful Christmas with loved ones. Today I would like to share with you a card I made for a friend of mine. I decided to go with a neutral pallete and a vintage theme.

I have embossed the background and mounted this on a contrasting layer. 

The candle die had three candles together but this was too large so I have just cut off the extra two giving me a nice simple look. 

I have mounted the holly die cut on foam tape and finished off with some stickles around the top of the candle, a few pearls stuck down on the ends of the vines help to add a nice soft contrast.

I would like to share with you a card I have made with water colouring.

I just love the effect and that each time you play you get such a different look depending on how much colour you put down and water you apply.

I used  Lawn Fawns "QUINNS ABC- Stamps and matching Dies and Stitched Journalling  along with Memory Box Precious Stars Die.
